San Antonio First AssemblyENCORE Ministries has as its purpose to serve, not simply to be served. We believe God is calling us to take His love in concrete ways to the unchurched of our communities, as well as extend the love of God and the love of the family of God to those within His church.
These goals will be accomplished through prayer and regularly planned activities. The anticipated result will be God’s blessing, and people coming to know Christ and His Church. By-products of these activities will be spiritual growth, and social and recreational development of all involved.
DYNAMIC WEEKLY ABF CLASS
Our Adult Bible Fellowship class gathers each Sunday morning at 10:15 A.M. and enjoys a time of fellowship, and refreshments followed by a special time of worship and studies as they relate to those ages 50 and above but open to anyone. We are blessed with a team of outstanding teachers, and very welcoming and friendly people.
MONTHLY FELLOWSHIP ACTIVITIES
About once a month seniors are invited to participate in a variety of activities along with good food and fellowship. This is an excellent time to meet and make new friends. Our goal is always to make visitors feel welcome and special.
RETREATS AND WORKSHOPS
One of the highlights of our calendar is our Annual Encore three-day retreat where we relax and enjoy a special time of spiritual renewal and a wide variety of fun activities. We collaborate with local and national Seniors Ministries that allows a wide range of resources and events.
MANY OTHER SPECIAL EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES
We are an active group. Our Annual Thanksgiving Banquet is second to none and participation in many of the church events and ministries is always exciting. Well, to put it simply, there is always something special going on within Encore Ministries. COME AND JOIN US!
